6th Grade News Update

Hello 6th Graders,

I hope everyone is doing a good job of staying cool in this hot weather.  I know some of you have started on your summer project already and some of you are waiting until there are only a few days left to start.  Just to let you know...the project will take about a week to finish.  A day or two to gather materials and plan, a few days to build it, and few days to test and fix anything that went wrong.

Remember that you have to present your project.  Here are a few things  you should answer in your presentation:

1.  Introduction (Your name)

2.  A little information about the project, since not all people will do the same one.
3.  The steps you took to build it.  (You should have your blogsite ready to open so you can show the class your pictures)
4.  How long did it take?
5.  How is your project design special or unique?
6.  What is one thing you learned from the whole project?

IMPORTANT:  Remember that I said that you had to make your own project, but I never said you had to do the whole thing alone.  You have to have your own unique project, that is not copied from anyone else, but you can have friends or family help you.  You can even get together with classmates and help each other understand each step or share ideas.

Oh, and one last thing...Make sure to have FUN while making this project!  Pretend you are a scientist from NASA.  Use your imagination!

Sincerely,
Mr. Lee

P.S.  I will start uploading some pictures from first semester soon, after I finish organizing all of it.
